fern lee is just a short walk from the town center, making it great for exploring. the accommodations were spotless, and the breakfast was exceptional. ordering a packed lunch was super handy for our hikes.

Had to tackle three flights of stairs to reach the room, which wasn't ideal after a day on foot. Breakfast not available for all rooms left a gap in the experience. Distance from dinner options required a 10-minute trek uphill, not the most convenient after a long day.

Staying at Fern Lee was truly enjoyable. The room was spacious and spotlessly clean, making it a great place to relax after a long day of cycling along Hadrian's Wall. The owner, Debbie, created a welcoming atmosphere and was invaluable in securing our bikes overnight. Breakfast was a standout, with more options than I could count. The cooked breakfast was delicious and definitely the highlight of the stay. Parking was a bonus too, as it was off-road, which made it easy for us. On the downside, some limited toiletries could use an upgrade, and Wi-Fi connectivity was inconsistent. overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I'd definitely return.

Just a good match for a short interlude in Carlisle with good value for money. The packed lunch was top-notch and really made my day easier. Keep in mind that it's closer to the main road, so expect some noise at night.
